The wonders of collectors in Florence museums

Palazzo Medici Riccardi – The expositive route emphasizes the principals features of the majors collections which were formed to Florence between Height hundred and Nine Hundred, starting by the seventeenth century of canonical Angelo Maria Bandini.

Museo Stefano Bardini – You can admire the Salone dei Dipinti, with the thirteenth century Crocifisso di Bernardo Daddi (1340) just restored. With the San Michele Arcangelo, the project’s image, we remember the Donatello and Della Robbia’s marbles which belonged to the antiquary Bardini.

Museo Horne – The picture and the look. Figure’s portraits and studies to Constable.
A magnificent exposition of 28 drawings by Italian, Deutschland, Flemish and English school, from the Five Hundred at the end of Eight Hundred, collected by H.P. Horne. In this interesting excursus we meet some of the most great masters.

THE SPINNER: A NEW SYMBOL FOR PRATO
Until February the 29th 2012, Palazzo Pretorio, Prato
A wonderful marble sculpture of Lorenzo Bartolini, never exposed to the public: we can admire it to Palazzo Pretorio. The sculpture has a great value, represents a tribute to the work and to vocation textile of the city, it’s a symbol of art and beauty and it’s the first most significant exposition in the extraordinary building of Piazza del Comune, closed to the public from 1998. Next to the spinner, others 2 sculptures, among the most important of Bartolini: the plasters of Trust in God and the plasters of the Oceanid Nymph.
JACOPO BASSANO. THE MASTER, THE CHILDREN, THE STORE

The exhibition presents a series of works of Jacopo and the children Francesco, Leandro and Gerolamo da Ponte, better known as the hometown’s name, Bassano, which they helped to spread the fame in the world: the family became famous in the middle of five hundred for producing one of the bigger machines of the story for the artistic production.
